Once you know which Pokémon are defending the gym in Pokémon Go, tap their names in this app and you will see their type. You will then discover which are super effective attack moves to use against the defenders - you should attack with Pokémon that have those types of attack moves!
You will also see which attack moves are not very effective against the gym defenders - you should try not to attack with Pokémon that have those type of attack moves.
